Georgian Economy Accelerated: Information and Communications Sector Became the Main Growth Driver

GDP grew by 6.4% in Q3

In Q3 2025, Georgia's gross domestic product in nominal terms approached 28 billion GEL. In real terms, the country's economy increased by 6.4% compared to the same period last year. These estimates are contained in the preliminary statistics published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia. At the same time, the GDP deflator, reflecting the impact of the price factor, amounted to 4.7%.

The largest contribution to economic dynamics was made by intangible and service industries. The information and communications sector grew the most - by more than 21%. Significant growth was also shown by education, financial and insurance services, art and entertainment industry. The transport and logistics complex, as well as the sphere of public administration and social protection, demonstrated positive dynamics.

At the same time, a number of industries ended the quarter in the red. A decrease was recorded in agriculture and forestry, mining and energy. Trade still dominates the structure of the economy, accounting for about 15% of GDP, as well as the manufacturing industry. Real estate, construction, transport, the ICT sector and the agricultural complex retain a significant share, which indicates the diversified nature of the country's economic growth.
