Georgian Post expects to improve its financial performance thanks to new agreements with international airlines.
As Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated, agreements with carriers should increase the company's revenue by 4.4 million GEL. One of the agreements has already been signed with Turkish Airlines, and negotiations are ongoing with five other airlines.
According to Kobakhidze, Georgian Post expects to end 2026 with a profit. For comparison, at the end of 2025, the company incurred a loss of 7 million GEL. The improvement of the financial result is also expected to be facilitated by the return of a number of services from intermediary companies directly to the postal service.
This step, according to the Prime Minister, will allow Georgian Post to additionally receive about 14.2 million GEL per year. Thus, agreements with airlines and changes in the service delivery scheme should become the two main sources of revenue growth for the postal service.
