The second international conference "New Horizons - 2026" has opened at Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi. The forum brought together representatives of universities, research centers, international organizations, and youth associations from various countries. Its main objective is to strengthen cooperation between the Eastern Partnership, South Caucasus, and Central Asian states.

The opening ceremony was attended by Tamar Siradze, Deputy Rector of the University, Professor Giga Partenadze, British Deputy Ambassador David Horie, and American diplomat, Global Minnesota Programs Director Erin Hart.

The conference program covers the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in public administration, democratic development, improving the quality of public services, ecology, and sustainable development. Participants will also address security issues in the Black Sea and Caspian regions, migration, cultural identity, and youth participation in state decision-making. The forum will last two days. The initiative originated in the UK as part of the John Smith Trust* fellowship program and then evolved into an independent international project.
