Tbilisi Airport leads in passenger traffic in Georgia

It received almost 1.9 million foreign visitors in a year

At the end of 2025, Tbilisi International Airport became the busiest border crossing point in the country, receiving almost 1.9 million foreign visitors. The second place was taken by the "Sarpi" checkpoint on the border with Turkey, and the third - "Kazbegi", connecting Georgia with Russia. In total, Georgia was visited by 7.8 million international travelers, which is 5.9% more than the year before.

The fastest growing was the railway point "Kartsakhi" on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line, where passenger traffic increased by 204%, although it mainly serves cargo transportation. Among the airports, Batumi showed the largest growth - plus 30% compared to last year.

Leaders in terms of countries of origin of tourists: Russia - 1.57 million visits (+11%), Turkey - 1.24 million (-6.6%), Armenia - 948 thousand visits without changes. The growth of tourist flow was noted mainly due to travel, the number of which reached 5.5 million, an increase of 8.4% compared to 2024.
