The country is accelerating the completion of strategic highways that will connect Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey through Georgian territory. According to the government's plan, by the end of 2026, the Rustavi – Red Bridge and Algeti – Sadakhlo roads will be fully operational, providing high-speed and safe communication with neighboring countries. At the same time, the Batumi – Sarpi highway, which opens the way to the Turkish border, is being finalized.
The project is part of the large-scale Trans-Caspian International Transport Route "Middle Corridor", connecting Asia and Europe. Created in 2014 with the participation of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, it provides land logistics from China through the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea region. Georgia, which joined in 2022, plays a key role, becoming a connecting link between the Caspian and Black Seas.
The implementation of these roads turns the country into a strategic transit hub of the region. The new infrastructure complex will not only speed up the transportation of goods, but also open up new opportunities for business and tourists, strengthening Georgia's international importance in global logistics.
