The number of citizens included in the register of persons addicted to gambling continues to grow in Georgia. According to the Revenue Service, there are currently 1,577,247 people on the list. The register is maintained under the law "On the Organization of Lotteries, Gambling and Winning Games" and applies exclusively to citizens of Georgia.

Since March 1, 2022, 36,115 individuals have been added to the database. Of these, 62 people were included in the list by court order, and the vast majority - 36,053 - entered themselves by submitting a personal application. Thus, the self-ban mechanism remains the primary way to restrict access to gambling.

Applications can be submitted either in paper form or online - through a personal account on the Revenue Service website or via video call on the platform videocall.rs.ge. The service is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00 and can be processed in person or through an authorized representative. In addition, family members have the right to apply to the court to include a relative in the register, without paying a state fee.
