Electricity and gas tariffs in Georgia will not increase in 2026

Prices for electricity and natural gas will remain at the same level for all consumers in the country

From the new year, residents of Georgia will not see an increase in prices for electricity and natural gas. According to David Narmania, Chairman of the Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, tariffs will remain the same for Tbilisi and the regions, and the price revision is postponed for three months due to the need to clarify the electricity balance for 2026.

For domestic consumers in Tbilisi, the tariff is 15.041 tetri per kilowatt-hour for consumption up to 101 kWh, 19.053 tetri for 101–301 kWh, and 23.537 tetri for over 301 kWh. Slightly lower rates apply in the regions: 14.731, 18.708 and 23.227 tetri respectively.

Gas prices are also not changing. In Tbilisi and the regions, the cost per cubic meter varies from 53.971 to 58.863 tetri, depending on the supplier. The commission noted that this decision will ensure stability for consumers at the start of the new year.
