Georgia's Budget Breaks Record for Fines in 2025

Revenue from administrative penalties and fines increased by almost 52 million GEL

In January–November 2025, revenues to the state budget of Georgia from fines reached 410 million GEL, which is 52 million GEL more than in the same period of 2024. Such data is provided by the Ministry of Finance of the country, reports the BPN agency.

Of the total amount, more than 342.2 million GEL were fines for administrative offenses, while last year this figure was 302.3 million GEL. Fines for traffic violations amounted to 245.3 million GEL against 203.6 million GEL in January–November 2024. For the entire last year, traffic police fees amounted to 218 million GEL.

The increase in income is associated both with an increase in the number of violations and with an increase in the size of fines, the Ministry of Finance notes.
