Georgia Postpones Exam and Customs Clearance Deadlines Due to New Year Holidays

Driving exams, customs, and certificates will be available later without penalties

Due to the New Year holidays, the branches of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia will not be working in the first days of January. All deadlines for passing driving exams, completing customs clearance, and obtaining certificates are automatically postponed so that citizens do not incur penalties for missing them.

The practical " площадкa" (test area) exam for those whose date fell on the holidays can be taken later, with only one attempt provided. For owners of reserved or stored license plates, their validity period is automatically extended.

Customs clearance of transport scheduled for the holidays will be considered completed on time if submitted on the first working day after the holidays. Similarly, certificates with apostille or legalization that were to be issued during the holidays can be obtained immediately after the resumption of the department's work; other deadlines remain unchanged.
