Norwegian to launch direct flights between Copenhagen and Tbilisi in summer 2026

The low-cost airline will operate two flights per week

The largest Norwegian low-cost airline, Norwegian, is entering the Georgian market: from June 27, 2026, the airline will launch direct flights between Copenhagen and Tbilisi. This was announced by the Georgian Airports Association, noting the successful completion of negotiations with the carrier.

Tickets are already on sale on the Norwegian website. Flights will be operated twice a week — on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the minimum ticket price starting from 125 euros.

Prior to the opening of this route, there was no direct air connection between the Georgian and Danish capitals. Passengers had to use an alternative route through Kutaisi Airport.

Demand for connections with Scandinavia continues to grow: in 2024, almost 32.5 thousand passengers used direct flights between Georgia and Denmark, and the total flow of tourists from Scandinavian countries reached 22.5 thousand people.

Norwegian was founded in 1993 and is one of the largest budget carriers in Europe. In terms of passenger traffic, it ranks fourth among European low-cost airlines, and in 2021 it was recognized by Skytrax as the best budget airline in Northern Europe.
