From the upcoming summer season, the Greek airline Sky Express will begin operating flights on the Heraklion–Tbilisi–Heraklion route. Flights will be operated from July 6 to September 22 once a week — on Tuesdays, according to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, which has already issued the necessary permit for the flights.
Sky Express has been operating in the Georgian market since 2024 and already operates regular flights on the Athens–Tbilisi–Athens route. The new route expands the company's presence and strengthens air connections between Georgia and Greece.
Passenger traffic between the countries continues to grow: in 2025, 284,858 passengers were transported on direct flights, which is 29% more than in 2024. In the summer season of 2026, flights will be operated by Sky Express, Aegean Airlines, and Wizz Air with a total frequency of 19 flights per week.
