Georgian Airports Continue to Receive Fewer Flights from the Middle East

Due to the conflict in the Middle East, hundreds of passengers are left without flights from Israel, Iran, and the UAE

Mass flight cancellations from the region persist in Tbilisi and Batumi. According to TAV Georgia, only 5 flights from Dubai have been operated in the last five days, with no night flights, and flights from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah remain completely canceled.

Today, March 10, regular flights from Tel Aviv (4), Tehran (2), Sharjah (2), Kuwait (2), Abu Dhabi (1), Doha (1), and Dubai (1) have been canceled. Two flights from Tel Aviv to Batumi have also been canceled.

At the same time, evacuation flights for Israeli citizens returning home continue to operate from Tbilisi. Three such flights are scheduled for March 10.

Mass cancellations began after February 28, when the US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, and continue to affect air traffic between Georgia and the countries of the Middle East.
