In January 2026, the volume of private money transfers to Georgia reached $282.64 million, an increase of 16.6% compared to last year.

Italy ranked first with $53.18 million, ahead of the USA ($52.04 million) and Russia ($33.51 million), with transfers from Russia increasing by more than 30%.

The top ten also included Israel ($26.66 million), Germany ($24.11 million), Greece ($22.40 million), Turkey ($9.53 million), Spain ($7.41 million), France ($5.35 million), and Kazakhstan ($5.21 million).

Meanwhile, $31.2 million (about 84 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia abroad in January, which is 10.2% more than a year earlier. The data reflects the activity of Georgian migrants and the country's continued dependence on money transfers.
