Residents of Akhalkalaki have already noticed the new buses purchased by the city hall to serve urban routes. The vehicles have not yet started regular trips, the city hall clarified. The routes and financial aspects of operation will be determined by a commission together with the Sakrebulo, after which the buses will start operating in the coming months.
The head of the economic development service of the city hall, Mnatsakan Pambukchyan, said that the buses are currently performing other tasks, and regular operation will start later. Last year, the city hall purchased two buses for 424,178 GEL, which arrived by the end of the year. It is noted that during the discussion of the budget for 2026, funding for the operation of buses has not yet been allocated, which caused comments from deputies.
