Georgian authorities have launched the issuance of redesigned electronic identity cards. The new documents comply with modern international security standards and are designed with national symbols.
The main innovation is the addition of the owner's fingerprints and a QR code, which allows you to check the document number, its status, registration address, and information on whether the owner is a student or a person with disabilities. The cost of the document remains the same.
You can apply for a new electronic ID at the territorial offices of the State Services Development Agency, branches of the Ministry of Justice, through mobile service points, or online on the agency's official website.
