Georgia continues to strengthen its international presence: according to The Passport Index 2026, the country ranked 33rd, ahead of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Russia. This makes the Georgian passport the "strongest" in the region.
Citizens of Georgia can visit 79 out of 133 countries without a visa, and in 50 countries they are granted the opportunity to obtain a visa upon arrival. An electronic visa is also available in four countries, which greatly facilitates international travel.
Experts note that the high level of citizen mobility indicates confidence in the country on the international stage and increases Georgia's attractiveness for business and tourism exchange.
