Georgia is launching a large energy project with Chinese capital. A subsidiary of DAYU NEW ENERGY LIMITED, registered in Hong Kong, plans to build a wind power plant in the Ninotsminda district, near Lake Paravani. Information about this has been disclosed in materials submitted for environmental review.

The project is being implemented by Deiu New Energy Paravani, established in 2022. Following an agreement with the government in March 2025, the investor submitted detailed documentation for the environmental impact assessment procedure. The power plant is planned to be located on the Javakheti Range at an altitude of up to 2800 m, approximately 4 km from the village of Sagamo.

The project includes the installation of 21 turbines, each with a capacity of up to 6.25 MW. The total capacity of the plant will be 130 MW. In addition to generation, infrastructure is planned – a 220 kV substation and underground 35 kV power lines, which will ensure stable energy transmission to the national power system.
