Cargo transportation through Georgian airports increased sharply in 2025. According to the State Statistics Service of the country, the volume of cargo and mail transportation reached 39 thousand tons, an increase of 48.8% compared to the previous year.

In just one year, about 3.9 thousand cargo flights were operated at Georgian airports, which is 77.1% more than the year before. The main part of the cargo flow was incoming shipments: they accounted for 92.9% of the total volume, while the share of sent cargo and mail was 7.1%.

At the same time, the number of aircraft registered in the civil registry of Georgia decreased from 70 to 62. Of these, 77.4% are passenger aircraft and 22.6% are cargo aircraft. The airport infrastructure is developing in parallel: by 2025, the country has 6 runways, 59 check-in counters, 26 boarding gates and about 2.5 thousand parking spaces for cars.
