In January 2026, Azerbaijan reduced imports of automotive parts and accessories from Georgia. The volume of supplies amounted to 3 tons worth 132 thousand dollars - this is 26% less in monetary terms and 45% less in weight compared to January last year.
Despite the decline, Azerbaijan took 2nd place among the destinations of Georgian exports of these products. In total, in January, Georgia sent 48.5 tons of auto components abroad for 403 thousand dollars, which is 57% less in volume and 2.3% lower in revenue in annual terms.
The largest market was Armenia (10.6 tons for 142.8 thousand dollars), followed by Syria, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. In 2025, total exports of auto parts from Georgia reached 618 tons for 9.45 million dollars, of which 115 tons for 2.6 million dollars accounted for Azerbaijan.
