From the 2026–2027 academic year, teachers in Georgian public schools will be prohibited from using mobile phones during classes. The decision was announced by the country's Ministry of Education.
The innovation will become part of the reform of the general education system. The department emphasizes that the purpose of the ban is to reduce distractions and increase the effectiveness of the educational process.
It is expected that the ban will help students to better focus on lessons, and teachers to pay more attention to pedagogical work, without being distracted by gadgets.
