The Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline, which ensures direct gas supplies between Nakhchivan and Turkey, is also capable of receiving reverse flows due to increased capacity. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov at the Ayder International Forum in Rize, Turkey.
According to Zeynalov, the project not only strengthens the energy security of Nakhchivan, but also creates prerequisites for future infrastructure synchronicity within the Zangezur Corridor.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the contribution of the Azerbaijani-Turkish strategic alliance to regional security, sustainable development and multilateral cooperation in the energy sector. Joint initiatives will be continued through the Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum, specialized working groups and projects to create green energy corridors.
