Tbilisi Dry Port is considering purchasing its own railway platforms to ensure stable container transportation and reduce dependence on transport infrastructure limitations. This was announced by Jemal Inaishvili, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the project, noting that the first year of the complex's operation ended with successful results.
Currently, the operator, together with Georgian Railways, is working to eliminate problems that may affect the speed and regularity of transportation. According to Inaishvili, its own fleet of railway platforms will increase the reliability of cargo delivery from the port of Poti to the Tbilisi Dry Port using block trains.

The project has already moved to the second stage of development, which involves the construction of warehouse infrastructure on the complex's territory. The investment volume for this stage is estimated at 50–55 million dollars. After the completion of the work, the throughput capacity of Tbilisi Dry Port should increase to 200 thousand TEU per year, which will allow Georgia to strengthen its position as a regional logistics hub between seaports, railways, and inland terminals.
