Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced the temporary suspension of flights on the Kutaisi—Lyon route. Flights on this route will cease from October 22, 2026, as part of the company's regular route network adjustment.
The carrier's statement notes that the decision is related to the optimization and analysis of route efficiency. The company emphasizes that it constantly evaluates demand and profitability of routes to adapt the network to current market conditions and offer the most in-demand destinations.
Passengers who have already purchased tickets have been sent notifications with resolution options: alternative flights, a full refund, or the amount credited as WIZZ Credit. Wizz Air stated that it will continue to review its route network, focusing on demand and commercial efficiency of destinations.
