"Georgian Railway" is considering the possibility of purchasing up to 1,500 new freight cars from Belarus. Negotiations on this matter took place in Minsk as part of a working meeting between representatives of the transport companies of the two countries.
During the discussions, the parties addressed issues of updating railway rolling stock, developing freight logistics, and forming more competitive transportation tariffs. Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in transit transportation and increasing the efficiency of transport corridors.
The meeting was attended by the head of Belarusian Railway, Valery Verenich, and the CEO of "Georgian Railway", Lasha Abashidze, as well as representatives of relevant departments. The negotiations were part of a broader dialogue on the development of transport cooperation between the countries of the region.
