FlyArystan airline has started operating direct flights on the Astana — Batumi — Astana route. The first flight has already arrived at Batumi International Airport named after Alexandre Kartveli, carrying 174 passengers on board an Airbus A320. The launch of the route became another step in expanding air communication between Kazakhstan and Georgia.
Initially, flights operate twice a week — on Tuesdays and Saturdays. From June 24, the schedule will expand: an additional flight will be added on Thursdays, which will increase the accessibility of the destination during the peak tourist season. Batumi remains one of the key resort centers in the region, and demand for flights traditionally increases in summer.
In parallel, the overall route network is also developing: flights from Batumi are already operated to Astana and Aktau, and Almaty and Atyrau will be added in the near future. The expansion of flight geography strengthens tourist and business ties between the countries, making the Black Sea coast of Georgia more accessible for Kazakhstani travelers.
