Last year, 14,611 vacancies were posted in Georgia through the platform of the State Employment Promotion Agency, but only 1,877 people were employed. Despite increased activity from both employers and job seekers, the actual "matchmaking" between them remains low.

A total of 13,489 job seekers registered in the system, which is 59% more than the previous year, with a significant portion being women. However, most of the offers are concentrated in the service and sales sectors, where communication skills, customer service experience, language proficiency, and willingness to work flexible hours are required.

The problem lies in mismatched expectations: employers are looking for fast and versatile employees, while some candidates are aiming for more stable and skilled positions. The situation is further complicated by the nature of the vacancies themselves – low pay and high staff turnover mean that many offers remain unfilled or find workers outside the official platform.
