In Georgia, an official list of rare and highly paid professions for the public sector has been compiled. It is enshrined in Government Decree No. 68 of February 7, 2018, and is regularly updated. The document identifies sectors where there is a shortage of specialists and increased qualification requirements.
The IT sector stands out most prominently on the list: analysts, programmers, system administrators, network engineers, information and cybersecurity specialists. The list also includes tax auditors and audit supervision inspectors, which underscores the importance of financial flow control in the public sector.
A separate block consists of aviation and the maritime industry. In aviation, pilots, airworthiness engineers, safety inspectors, and air navigation specialists are in demand. In the maritime sector – hydrographers, marine meteorologists, cartographers, and research engineers. These areas are considered critically important for the country's infrastructure and require high-level training.
Updates to the list also add new roles in public aviation, including pilots, flight engineers, and technical personnel. Overall, the list reflects key areas where the state experiences a shortage of personnel and is ready to stimulate their development through improved payment conditions.
