Georgian airline OneClick Airways has started operating regular international flights from Tbilisi Airport. The new route connected the capitals of Georgia and Israel – Tbilisi and Tel Aviv.

According to TAV Georgia, the company managing the international airports of Tbilisi and Batumi, flights between the two cities will be operated twice a week. Planes from Tel Aviv to Tbilisi will depart on Thursdays and Sundays, and return flights from the Georgian capital to Israel are scheduled for Monday and Friday.

The first OneClick Airways flight has already delivered passengers from Tel Aviv to Tbilisi on a Boeing 737 aircraft. A solemn event was organized at the airport in honor of the launch of the new air service.

The launch of the direct route is expected to strengthen transport links between Georgia and Israel, and also create additional opportunities for tourists and business travelers.
