In 2025, organizers of markets and bazaars in Georgia received 208.8 million GEL in revenue. According to Geostat data, the main part of this amount was provided by the rent of trading spaces – 180.7 million GEL, or 86.5% of the total revenue. Another 9.6 million GEL came from one-time payments for the right to trade, and other types of income brought in 18.6 million GEL.

The expenses of companies managing markets and bazaars amounted to 128.6 million GEL for the year. A significant part of these funds – 55.2 million GEL – was directed to employee salaries. In total, 198 organizations related to markets and bazaars operated in the country. Tbilisi became the leader in the number of facilities – 70 platforms, or 35.4% of the total.

The total area of operating markets and bazaars reaches 2 million square meters, with 96.5% of the territory being privately owned. They are equipped with 46.5 thousand trading places, where about 36.1 thousand sellers work daily. About 2.7 thousand people are employed in the administrations of these facilities. Most markets have a mixed format: 35.9% are covered, 34.3% are open, and the rest are semi-covered facilities.
