Five leading commercial banks in Georgia have begun transitioning to a unified Nasdaq Calypso infrastructure for treasury operations management. The project involves "Bank of Georgia", "TBC Bank", "Liberty Bank", "TeraBank", and "BasisBank". The new system is expected to enhance the efficiency of financial organizations and lay the groundwork for further development of the banking market.

Magnus Haglind, Head of Capital Markets Technology at Nasdaq, noted that Georgia has become an example of using a common infrastructure that allows individual banks to access modern technologies without having to bear all the costs and risks of large-scale modernization themselves. According to him, the unified platform will help the country's financial sector transition to international standards.

The implementation of Nasdaq Calypso is part of the "Georgia Financial Markets Development Program" (GMAP), supported by the National Bank of Georgia and coordinated by the Georgian Financial Markets Treasury Association. The project aims to provide the banking sector with a modern technological base and strengthen the country's financial market infrastructure.
