Starting July 4, direct flights will connect Tbilisi and Bucharest. The new route will link the capitals of Georgia and Romania without the need for transfers, making travel between the countries more convenient for both tourists and business travelers.
The carrier will be the Romanian airline Dan Air. Flights will operate twice a week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This will provide passengers with regular connections to one of the capitals of the European Union and the Schengen Area.
Ticket prices start from 80 euros for a one-way flight without included baggage. Travelers should also consider visa requirements: as Romania is part of the Schengen Area, citizens of countries requiring a visa will need the appropriate authorization for entry. The launch of the new route will expand Georgia's transport links with Europe and offer passengers another convenient option for international travel.
