Starting June 16, "Georgian Railway" is expanding its schedule on one of the country's most popular routes – Tbilisi–Batumi–Tbilisi. The decision was made due to increased passenger traffic ahead of the summer tourist season.
Additional trains will run from June 16 to September 30. From Tbilisi, the train will depart at 00:30 and arrive in Batumi at 05:42. In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Batumi at 00:35 and arrive in the Georgian capital at 05:34.
In addition, from June 16 to October 9, daytime services will continue: departure from Tbilisi to Batumi is scheduled for 10:10, and the return train from Batumi to Tbilisi will depart at 18:30. Passengers can purchase tickets through the official website and mobile application of the railway, as well as at ticket offices and partner companies. The expanded schedule is expected to help cope with the seasonal influx of tourists and improve travel accessibility between the country's two largest cities.
