A meeting of energy ministers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and Bulgaria took place in Istanbul, where the parties agreed to launch preparations for a "green" energy corridor project between the four countries. This was the outcome of the third ministerial meeting on this initiative.

According to Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, the meeting participants agreed to start work on a roadmap that will include key steps for the project's implementation and acceleration. This involves creating infrastructure for transmitting electricity generated from renewable sources.

The project is seen as part of broader regional energy cooperation, based on existing strategic routes and agreements. This includes discussions on prospects for expanding intersystem connections and integration with existing energy corridors, which should strengthen the region's role in supplying "green" energy to Europe.
