Indian airline IndiGo will resume flights to Georgia with the start of the winter season. This was announced by TAV Georgia, which manages Tbilisi and Batumi airports. Previously, the carrier suspended flights due to the unstable situation in the Middle East, but has now returned to its plans for operations in this direction.

The company notes that active negotiations are underway with existing and new air carriers to expand the route network. Airports offer discounts and benefits to attract additional flights and compensate for the deficit in air service. Both European destinations and the development of ties with Asian markets remain a priority.

The growing interest from China and neighboring countries is particularly emphasized. China Southern and East China Airlines are already operating, and new flights are being launched from Batumi to Yerevan and cities in Kazakhstan. Airport authorities expect that the expansion of flight geography will strengthen Georgia's role as a regional aviation hub.
