Georgia has experienced the largest migration influx in its history of independence. According to the statistical service, by 2025, 108,222 citizens from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, who relocated after 2022, will be residing in the country on a long-term basis. This represents about 2.6% of the country's population.
Of the total, 72,527 people are citizens of Russia, 24,440 are from Ukraine, and 11,255 are from Belarus. The main concentration of migrants is observed in Tbilisi and Batumi, where demand for housing and services has significantly increased due to the influx of new residents.
In total, about 257,000 foreign citizens permanently reside in Georgia. According to the late 2024 census, the country's total population reached 3.9 million people, with recent immigration playing a significant role in this growth.
