In January–February 2026, 67,736 trucks passed through Georgia's transport corridors, which is 2,262 units less compared to the same period in 2025. This led to a reduction in budget revenues by 791,882 GEL: a total of 23.707 million GEL was received, compared to 24.499 million GEL a year earlier.
Overall, in 2025, the average annual truck transit indicator was 489,390 units, with revenue from road user charges reaching 171.287 million GEL. The transit cost for truck drivers has been set at 350 GEL since June 20, 2022; previously, the rate was 200 GEL. The decrease in the number of passing trucks reflects a reduction in transit flow and directly affects the state's financial revenues.
Analysts note that this trend may increase the need to stimulate transit traffic and revise infrastructure measures to maintain the profitability of the transport corridor.
