According to official statistics, in January–February 2026, the share of the 27 EU countries in Georgian exports amounted to 12.2%, and in imports — 24%. For comparison, the CIS countries account for 49.3% of exports and 23.8% of imports. Total exports for the first two months of the year reached $124.9 million, which is 20% higher than last year's figure.
Georgia's main export items: hazelnuts and other nuts ($24.5 million), oil and oil products ($20.2 million), ferroalloys ($18.6 million), copper ores and concentrates ($14.9 million), and natural wines ($5.6 million).
Imports for this period amounted to $597.4 million, a decrease of 2% compared to last year. The main goods imported into Georgia include oil and oil products ($97.1 million), packaged medicines ($55.3 million), passenger cars ($44.7 million), telephone sets and data transmission devices ($12.2 million) and dishwashers ($10.2 million).
