The Yandex Eats delivery service is ceasing operations in Georgia. The decision to wind down local operations was announced by the company's Head of Operations, Giorgi Cholaria, on LinkedIn. He emphasized that he is proud of creating a structured and effective team with high standards of execution.
Yandex Eats began operating in the country in October 2024, and from June 2025, the service was launched in Batumi via the Yandex Go app with promotions and discounts in restaurants. Despite successful operational performance, the company made a strategic decision to close the project.
It should be noted that Yandex Taxi has been operating in Georgia since August 2016, and this service will continue to function independently of the departure of the delivery service.
