The Georgian government is purchasing fuel in February at reduced prices

And what about retail prices?

In February 2026, the Georgian government updated its fuel procurement contracts and managed to reduce purchase prices by 6–7 tetri per liter compared with January. The documents were published on the website of the National Agency for State Procurement.

Under the consolidated tender, regular fuel is being purchased from "Socar," premium fuel from "Rompetrol," and euro-diesel and super-diesel from "Wissol." The purchase prices were distributed as follows: Regular — 2.17 lari (unchanged), Premium — 2.18 lari (previously 2.35 lari), Super — 2.47 lari (previously 2.64 lari).

The price is determined monthly based on the average fuel cost on the PLATTS EUROPEAN MARKET, the lari exchange rate, excise tax, and VAT. If the change in cost exceeds 3%, it is adjusted to the new price. In January, the decline in the Platts price to 643 dollars caused a reduction in procurement rates.

For comparison, retail gasoline prices remain as follows: Regular — 2.83–2, lari, Premium — 2.83–2.97 lari, Super — 3.03–3.19 lari.
