In the first eleven months of 2025, Georgian airports recorded record-breaking figures for passenger numbers and flights. According to the Ministry of Economy of the country, the airports served almost 7.9 million passengers in 11 months, which is 14% more than the previous year. The number of flights operated increased even more significantly, by 18%, to 35,105.
Tbilisi International Airport remains the country's largest hub, handling 4,981,865 passengers during the reporting period, a 13% increase year-on-year. Passenger traffic at Kutaisi Airport increased by 7% to 1,692,513 people. Batumi Airport showed the most dynamic increase, up 30% to 1,165,767 passengers.
The air cargo transportation segment also reached a record high. In January–November, almost 40,000 tons of cargo were transported by air, which is 49% more than in the same period last year. Wizz Air remains the market leader in terms of the number of passengers carried, with a share of 17% and more than 1.3 million customers, followed by Georgian Airways (8%), as well as Pegasus and Turkish Airlines, each with a share of 7%.
