Georgia and Romania are again connected by direct flights: DAN AIR enters the route

The new airline launches regular flights between Tbilisi and Bucharest from July 2026

Romanian carrier DAN AIR starts operating on the Georgian aviation market, which will resume direct regular air traffic between Tbilisi and Bucharest. This was reported by the Georgian Airports Association, noting that the Tbilisi-Bucharest-Tbilisi route will again be available to passengers.

According to the application submitted to the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, flights will be operated from July 1 to October 24, 2026. The frequency of flights will be twice a week - on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which will ensure stable communication between the two capitals during the summer-autumn season.

The airline received permission to operate flights on June 9. The Georgian authorities note that the return of the direct route expands opportunities for tourism and business trips, and also strengthens the transport connectivity of the region with Romania and EU countries.
