In Georgia, cars can now be sold remotely online

The transaction is processed through the mobile application or website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Service Agency, and the buyer has 5 working days to register the car

In Georgia, car owners can now remotely process the alienation of a vehicle without the personal presence of the seller at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Service Agency. The service is available to registered users of the SERVICE AGENCY mobile application and the agency's website. Remote car sales have become one of the most requested issues among the nearly 39,000 citizens who received consultations from the Agency in September.

To complete the transaction, the seller simply needs to log in to their personal account, open the vehicle alienation section, and enter the necessary information. After the procedure is completed, the system sends SMS notifications to both parties — the seller and the buyer, which allows the main part of the transaction processing to be completed remotely.

After receiving the notification, the buyer must contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs Service Agency of Georgia within 5 working days. There, they present the received SMS notification and register the purchased car in their name. Thus, the seller is not required to personally visit the agency to process the sale of the car.
