Georgia is currently constructing 14 power transmission lines and four substations. The total length of the new power lines will exceed 587 km, announced Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
According to the minister, energy development requires infrastructure capable of receiving, transmitting, and safely managing large volumes of electricity. This is why the government has laid the groundwork for implementing large-scale projects in this area.
Kvrivishvili noted that power transmission lines and substations remain a less visible part of the energy infrastructure for society, yet they largely determine the capabilities and reliability of the entire system. The construction of new facilities should provide the basis for its further development.
