Over the past week, fuel prices in Georgia have increased in almost all major gas station chains. At Gulf, gasoline added 6 tetri, and diesel – 16; at Wissol, the increase was 5 tetri for gasoline and up to 16 tetri for diesel fuel. At Connect, various types of fuel rose by 15–20 tetri. At SOCAR, prices have increased by 3–10 tetri since August.
Currently, gasoline at Georgian gas stations, depending on the brand, costs approximately from 3.75 to 4.57 GEL per liter, diesel – from 3.60 to 4.78 GEL. Rompetrol and Lukoil networks also record comparable price levels, although the archives of changes on these companies' websites do not allow tracking the dynamics for the same period.
After price reductions in June and early July, the market turned around amid a new rise in oil prices and the escalation of the situation in the Middle East. Since early August, various types of fuel in Georgia have already risen in price by 13–71 tetri. The Union of Oil Product Importers and Wissol company expect further growth in consumption and prices, as new fuel supply contracts are being concluded at a higher cost.
