In January–July 2026, Georgia imported 5,992 units of light electric vehicles with a total value of $1.7 million. Compared to the same period last year, the volume of supplies increased by 1,801 units, or 43%, and their value grew by $651 thousand, or 63%. This indicates not only a rise in demand but also an increase in the average cost of imported equipment.

China remains the main supplier, accounting for about 70% of all deliveries. In seven months, 4,211 units of light electric vehicles worth $1.03 million were imported from China to Georgia. Azerbaijan took second place with 802 units worth $76 thousand, and Hong Kong came in third with 762 units worth $414 thousand.

The top five largest suppliers also included the UAE and Bulgaria. 145 units worth $35 thousand were imported from the United Arab Emirates, and 31 units worth $6 thousand were imported from Bulgaria. Thus, the market for light electric vehicles in Georgia continues to grow rapidly, with most of the equipment coming from China.
