Smartphones have practically become the main digital device in Georgia: among the population aged 15-59, 99.1% own them. Overall, 93.3% of the country's residents over 6 years old have a mobile phone. At the same time, 99.8% of internet users access the network specifically from smartphones, while only 57.9% of households have a computer or laptop.
The gap between regions remains significant. In Tbilisi, 74.1% of families have a computer or laptop, while in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, only 30.1% do, and in Guria, 37.4%. The main users of computers remain children aged 6-14: 89.3% of them used a PC in the last three months. Among people over 60, this figure drops to 22.3%.
At the same time, the internet has become part of the daily life of almost the entire population: 96.4% of users go online daily. The main activities are social networks, messengers and video calls, online banking, searching for medical information and goods. 38.6% of users have used online stores in the last year: among people aged 15-29, this figure reaches 63%, and among citizens over 60, only 17.5%.
