Prices at Georgian gas stations continue to rise, with diesel fuel experiencing the most significant increase. Over the past week, gasoline prices have gone up by 3–12 tetri, while diesel has surged by 25–71 tetri. In August, major networks have already revised prices several times.
Currently, Regular gasoline costs around 3.60–3.90 GEL per liter, depending on the network, while diesel is approximately 4.10–4.47 GEL. The most notable increase was recorded at SOCAR: Nano Euro 5 Diesel rose by 71 tetri. At Wissol, diesel increased by 33 tetri, at Gulf by 30 tetri, and at Connect by up to 35 tetri.
The price increase is linked to rising oil prices on the global market. While fuel prices in Georgia were falling in June – early July amid stabilizing oil quotes, the situation changed in the second half of July due to escalation in the Middle East. By the end of July, the cost of various types of fuel had already increased by approximately 20 tetri.
