Trade turnover between Georgia and India in January–June 2026 amounted to $63.7 million, down from $69.6 million a year earlier. The main reason for the decline was a decrease in imports from India.
Georgia imported Indian goods worth $50.6 million compared to $62.8 million in the same period of 2025. In particular, purchases of medicines decreased. Among the largest import items were also medical supplies, construction equipment, metal structures, aluminum products, rice, and hydroturbines.
At the same time, Georgian exports to India showed almost a twofold increase. Their volume grew from $6.7 million to $13 million. The main driver was mineral and chemical nitrogen fertilizers, supplies of which reached $9.2 million.
In addition to fertilizers, Georgia exported copper and aluminum scrap, unprocessed lead, ferrous metal waste, sulfur, hazelnuts, and other nuts to India.
