EU countries remain the largest source of money transfers

In July 2026, the volume of money transfers to Georgia reached $350 million, an increase of 3.9% compared to July last year. In national currency, this corresponds to 922.2 million lari. Thus, over the year, the volume of transfers grew by $13.1 million.

EU countries remain the largest source of money transfers. In July, $153.1 million came to Georgia from the EU — 43.7% of the total volume. Compared to July 2025, this figure increased by 2.4%. Among European countries, Italy, Germany, and Greece lead.

Transfers from other key countries showed the most significant growth. Inflows from the USA increased by 11.2% to $67.8 million, from Israel by 21.6% to $29.3 million, and from Turkey by 21.8% to $12.2 million.

At the same time, residents and companies in Georgia sent $39 million abroad in July, which is 4.7% more than a year earlier. Thus, the net inflow of money transfers to the country amounted to about $311 million for the month.
