Georgia's economy continues to grow at a high pace. According to preliminary estimates by the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in June 2026, real GDP increased by 8.6% compared to June last year. The average economic growth for the first six months of the year reached 7.9%.
The main drivers of growth were manufacturing, transport and storage, construction, information and communication, and financial and insurance services. These areas accounted for a significant portion of the overall increase in economic activity.
However, not all sectors showed positive dynamics. "Geostat" noted a decline in indicators in the mining industry and the energy sector. Final data on the country's economy will be published after statistical processing is completed.
